The Oak Ridges Medical Centre was pleased to finally break ground at the site of its new home on May 7, 2004. In attendance were a number of dignitaries including Mr. Bill Bell, Mayor of Richmond Hill, Mr. Bryon Wilfert, MP for Oak Ridges, Mr. Frank Klees, MPP for Oak Ridges, and Counsillor Vito Spatafora of Oak Ridges. Also in attendance were representatives for the TD bank, Mr. Scott Moore and Mr. Brian Guinto. Other proud stakeholders in the project attended the much anticipated day, including Mr. Howard Goldberg, Dr. Jeff Daiter and Dr. Michael Varenbut.

Mr. Bryon Wilfert graciously presented both a letter from the Prime Minister, Mr. Paul Martin welcoming the Centre to Oak Ridges as well as a letter from his office, acknowledging the projects significance to the area.

The timely groundbreaking promises to see the completion of the State of the Art centre to be in the Winter of 2004. Over the next few months, this website will continually update you with construction targets and photos of significant events. Keep posted.
