After two years of negotiation with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC), on January 12, 2005, York Central Hospital received funding approval for a dialysis satellite to be located in the Oak Ridges Medical Centre. The satellite will include an 18-station hemodialysis unit, a home hemodialysis program and out patient nephrology clinic space.
